Six Months of Doom

Six Months of Doom

Six months ago, Secret Weapon Productions exited the research phase and started creating podcasts. We had three brand new podcasts, six total episodes, and exactly 4 subscribers.

Many things have changed in these six months: theme songs have been belted, crossover episodes have emerged, and new scientists have been brought into the labs to create new monst... er... productions.

We've also been working hard to improve the quality of our recording, editing, and episode structure so listeners can get in and out of episodes with happy ears and time to spare. We do this out of love, not because we're testing mind control frequencies for a foreign military.

With our first six months behind us, there are many things we are excited about for the rest of the year. Wordstruck is entering a new season with new surprises, Dizzy Channel and Into the Echo are contemplating seasonal drinks for the fall weather, and 20 Minutes of Banter is finally hiring a lawyer to work through their mountain of cease and desist letters. All of this is happening as we make the hike to our first 1,000 subscribers, a goal we're confident in reaching. We may even have a couple new shows up our lab coat sleeves - who knows?

So thank you to all of our listeners and subscribers for sticking with us over the last six months. It's been a thrill to hear from you, and we hope you'll love what we have in store.

200: Rise of an Empire

200: Rise of an Empire

Last week we felt a great disturbance in the Lab, as if hundreds of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. At first we thought Subject 11233 had gotten off its leash again, but we soon realized that the disturbance was coming from our Metrics sector.

We rushed to the lab and found our technicians frozen in a state of disbelief, pointing at a rather large number on our RSS Subscriber page.

---- 200 ----

"This can't be real!" cried Dan, "Why on earth would 200 unique IP addresses be contacting our podcast servers over the course of 7 days? What does this mean?!"

We still don't know the answers, but we have our best people on the job. We have administered the standard issue adrenaline shots to our Metrics technicians, and they should be fine by the end of the week.

Thank you all for listening and subscribing, and for sharing our podcasts with your friends and family. We are beyond excited to have over 200 subscribers spread across our network, and we hope that this number continues to grow as we introduce new shows, new hosts, special episodes, and so much more. We love what we do, and we're looking forward to growing with you over the coming months and years.

Wordstruck

Wordstruck

In an attempt to harness the dark arts, Secret Weapon Labs recruited Alyssa and Clark to comb over several ancient tomes of power. However, before the tomes could be deciphered, Austin decided to use them as target practice for his ridiculously large glitter bomb collection.

So now they're reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Join our two book loving producers as they talk about Hogwarts, Quidditch, and the Boy Who Lived in the first season of Wordstruck!

Dizzy Channel Original Friendship

Dizzy Channel Original Friendship

Eureka! We've finally created an ethanol solution that's strong enough to launch our prototype into orbit! Unfortunately, Maia and Adair found our secret laboratory and drank everything before we could write down the chemical formula. I guess we'll just have to launch their podcast instead.

Dizzy Channel Original Friendship features Maia and Adair, who take on (almost) every Disney Channel Original Movie from your childhood, reminding you why they were awesome, why they were awful, and why you should still be watching. They also get a bit toasty in the process.

You can find DCOF on iTunes, and while you're at it, please let us know if you find Maia and Adair. They were last seen stumbling out of Secret Weapon Productions singing What Dreams Are Made Of. If seen, please create a 500m buffer zone - we're still not sure what this stuff can do.

20 Minutes of Destruction... Er... Banter

20 Minutes of Destruction... Er... Banter

Our test pilots have returned mostly intact, so it's high time to launch our first production: 20 Minutes of Banter.

20 Minutes of Banter features Daniel Crary and Austin Logan. These two have known each since they were kids, but now they only talk on the phone for twenty minutes at a time. It's kind of sad, really. Tune in to hear their meandering, joke filled, sometimes serious conversations.

We're live on iTunes, but you can find us on your favorite podcast app or listen to us right here on Secret Weapon Productions. Feel free to follow the links below, but we would like to remind you that SWP makes no claims of a radiation-free listening experience.
