The crew of The Enterprise beam down to Beta III, and discover the majority of the population is under the influence of a consciousness named Landru (Yep, Landru.) Kirk and the crew work to free the people from Landru's control, as Cam and Dan breakdown the societal function of "purges."
Captain Kirk is put on trial for death of a crewman! But when the computer contradicts his testimony, Kirk and the crew will have to find another way to clear his name. Cameron and Dan give acting notes and take on the prosecution together!
The Enterprise is transported back in time to Earth in the 1960's! The crew works round the clock to get back to the present, and Cameron bends over backwards to defend time travel logic that gives Dan a rage stoke.
While exploring a Star Desert, The Enterprise encounters a super powered alien being (again) who traps the crew on the planet of Gothos! Kirk and the crew endure their capture's obsession with Earth culture from 400 years ago, but much like Cameron and Dan's friendship, this episode can only end in a duel!
Spock's in charge! But it doesn't look good when his away mission crashes! Spock and his crew have to fend off natives and get back into space before the Enterprise leaves the system.
